Planning an international trip sounds fun… until you realize you’ve opened 27 tabs, checked 3 different flight sites, and still don’t know if you need a visa.
Let’s fix that.
Whether you’re planning your first international getaway or just want to stop stressing every time your passport gets involved, this is your go-to guide to getting it done right.
Step 1: Pick the Right Destination
Don't just spin the globe and go. Ask yourself:
*What's the vibe? (Romantic, foodie, adventurous, beachy?)
*How far do I really want to travel?
*What do I need from this trip, fun, rest, reconnection?
And don’t forget the not-so-fun stuff:
*Visa requirements
*Passport validity (many countries require 6 months left)
*Safety and weather considerations
Not sure? That’s what we do. We help our clients match their mood to the perfect place.
Step 2: Choose Smart Travel Dates
Be strategic. Avoid:
*Holiday weekends (unless crowds are your thing)
*Peak season prices
*Rainy/hurricane season
We always build in a buffer day when you return, because going from customs to chaos at work the next morning? No thanks.
Step 3: Book Flights First
Please hear this: book your flights first.
Prices change daily. Some routes only fly on certain days. Get your flights secured, then move on to the hotel.
Bonus tip:
*Don’t book flights with tight layovers
*Watch out for baggage fees
*Always check the airport code (yes, that’s a thing)

Planning is one thing, travel day is another.

This checklist is your bestie on departure day. Smooth. Confident. Chaos-free.
Step 4: Book Accommodations That Match Your Energy
You’re not just sleeping there, you’re living there for a few days.
Do you want:
*A boutique hotel in the city center?
*A peaceful villa in the countryside?
*A luxury all-inclusive resort on the beach?
We always double check location, transportation options, walkability, and the vibe of the resort. Because the wrong hotel = wrong vacation.
Step 5: Plan Key Experiences in Advance
Leave room for rest, but don’t just wing it.
Book must-do activities before you go, like:
*Cooking classes
*Private tours
*Spa appointments
*Wine tastings
*Romantic dinners
And yes, we book these for our clients ahead of time so there’s no scrambling once you land.
Step 6: Handle the Boring-but-Crucial Stuff
Don't get caught slipping at the border. Double check:
*Passport expiration
*Visa requirements
*Currency exchange
*Travel insurance
International phone plan/Wi-Fi
Also? Print backups of everything. Phones die. Wi-Fi disappears. A paper copy = peace of mind.
Step 7: Pack Like a Pro
You don’t need everything you own.
*Pack by outfit, not by “what if”
*Use packing cubes
*Limit shoes
*Don’t forget outlet adapters and meds in your carry-on
*And please, leave room in your suitcase for souvenirs. Future you will be glad.
Step 8: Know Your First 24 Hours
Before you go, make sure you know:
*How you're getting to the hotel
*What time you can check in
*How to get Wi-Fi/a SIM card if needed
*What the local customs are (like tipping)
We always create a travel folder for our clients with all this info, because confusion at arrival is not the vibe.
