Traveling can jazz up your life but let's keep it real; it can also be a workout on its own. Think lugging suitcases, those never-ending layovers, or those not-so-snuggly hotel beds. No wonder we often end up with a crick in the neck or a sore back, right?
But what if you could flip the script? Not all hotels roll out the red carpet with gym facilities, and when they do, it's hit or miss. Plus, you're probably indulging in some drool-worthy local cuisine (no shame in that game!).
With your daily routine out the window, it's easy to see why you might not feel like a million bucks when you get back.
Here's the kicker: Exercise doesn't have to be an episode of "Survivor".
Forget the hassle of commuting to a gym; your perfect workout space can be your hotel room or a nearby park! All you need is a 20-minute circuit and your own body weight—and let’s not forget that suitcase you packed.
Check this quick two-step routine crafted by fitness guru Steve Kamb:
1️⃣ Warm-Up (3-4 mins): Pump up the jam with 25 jumping jacks, 15 bodyweight squats, 10 push-ups, 10 lunges each leg, 10 hip raises, and cap it off with 25 more jumping jacks.
2️⃣ Workout Circuit (15 mins): Set a 15-minute timer and cycle through 20 Body Weight Squats, 15 Incline Push-Ups, 10 One-Arm Luggage Rows (for each arm), and 10 Reverse Crunches. Just keep the vibe high and the form tighter than a drum.
The real talk?
Do this three times a week, and you'll not just maintain, but actually amp up your strength level. Imagine coming back from vacay not just refreshed but also, wait for it... fitter! People have been nailing this routine everywhere—from hotel gyms to moonlit beaches. Once you make it a travel staple, you’ll be scouting fun new spots to get your 15 minutes of self-love in.

For me, travel goes beyond visiting new locations and checking off a bucket list. It's a conscious decision to slow down, invest in my health and well-being, and let a place's charm uplift my spirit. Travel also revitalizes my marriage and closest relationships, giving them new vitality.
